Tree and Shrub
Lawn Care Alpharetta Tree and Shrub Care
Pests can cause serious damage to the health of your plant life. That is why we at Unlimited Landscaping Alpharetta have devised our tree and shrub program that consist of 7 applications of integrated pest management. So what is the integrated pest management? It is a program of reducing insect and plant disease problems through a series of checks to maintain a healthy landscape, vigilantly watching for potential problems and when detected, attending and eradicating these problems.
Round 1- Early Spring Preventative
Below are the 7 rounds of the tree and shrub program:
Round 1- Early Spring Preventative
Involves an application that coats the plants and smothers over wintering insects and their eggs. Specific ornamental trees and shrubs are treated with Horticultural Oil and insecticide
Round 2 thru 5 – Mid-Spring, late Spring, Mid-Summer and late Summer Insect and Disease Controls
Using the integrated Pest Management (IPM) guidelines, we treat targeted trees and shrubs for specific insects and diseases. These treatments are designed to minimize damage caused by the insects and diseases.
Round 6 – Early Winter Preventative
This is a second application of Horticultural Oil and insecticide designed to smother insects and their eggs before they enter the winter season.
Round 7 – Fall Deep Root Fertilizer
Our Fall fertilizer involves injecting a slow release fertilizer into the root zones of your ornamental trees and shrubs. This is done in the Fall to help the plants recover from the stresses of Summer. The nutrients injected into the ground release slowly to the plants throughout the next growing season for optimal recovery and growth
